Hi all

OK Mum - we can all try to post only nice things from Now on!! - but if you stop looking it you will not get to see suff like my pics below

These are the last few days of Tom and Barbara Mac in Holiday in Yorkshire. They had a superb and very tiring time and will be glad to get back to the US to have a well earned rest. We had lots of fun with them. I managed to Get mum and Barb to come to new Indian restaurant in Dewsbury called Ashiques - good food and service but no beer! Brian came as well and had to make do with a Lasi.

Tom - I hope you get some good results soon - stay positive. If you want to know more about Riki Gervase - the office manager - he did an interview on radio 4 last week - so you have a few days left to listen to the show on the net - where he talks about the show and the characters - very funny - see 5th section on this page

The way to achieve inner peace

I am passing this on to you because it has definitely worked for Philip.

By following the simple advice I read in an article, I passed it on to Phil and he says he has finally found inner peace.

It read: "The way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things you've started."

Phil looked around to see all the things he started and hadn't finished.

I have just been told by Carin that today he has finished one bottle of vodka, a bottle of red wine, a bottle of Jack Daniel's, some Prozac, a small box of chocolates and a litre of gin.

I bet feels fine now!

Mum and Dad are showing Barbara and Tom Mac around the new caravan and they are having a great time. Today the were taken to Aysgarth falls for a walk in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. Though Tom Mac is being very malicious about the geographical features Yorkshire has to offer - calling the River “only a stream” and his comment about the Famous Aysgarth water fall was that "he had seen bigger cascades going down the plug hole"

We will endevour to try and impress them at Dinner on Friday when Jack, AM, Riz and me will be joining them for a HH special

Ha ha very funny Mum

So you may have noticed the new title and super dropdown menu at the top of the page, If you have been asked to download a Macromedia program then just click yes and wait a few minutes. This is needed by the blog page.

Those of you who are only reading this in the edit will have to go to the main page to see what I am on about. main blog

I have added all the links and pictures that have been on blogger in the past (and some) in a nice easy to use and access menu. If you want anymore then just add them here in a blog entry and I will add them to the menu so they will be there for all time! Note if you hover - or keep your mouse arrow still over a menu option a description line will appear with some more information about this web link.

If there are any errors or problems please let me know

have fun

Well done Brian ! you have now beaten me to the scoundrel of the blog award. If Carin wants you to be de blogged she only has to request it!

I am on a break now on a course in Batley for databases. And they allow access to blog here so I can post

We had a big curry last night in Rusholme – my mates, Jack the ski lads and to all our surprise Claire turned up. Sorry Jack! But we had a good night anyway and Jack owes me £2.50 towards the meal as he did not leave enough to cover the bill or the tip. Claire’s nan Jessie has had a fall and broken her arm so I will send her a get well card.

I am still thinking about my job as I could go for another one or wait till the payout at Lex. But the job is working for a old mate in his new company on old software I uses to do – Rizwana and Brian have conviced me to go and see him and his new company in York at southfields

That’s all for now – Jack – I will try and come over the weekend to see Annmarie’s reaction to my latest pictures so tell her not to blog without me!

Re:censorship

I agree with Mum and your disgraceful abuse of the blogg will not be tolerated and can you send me the original version of the story - although I cannot see it being any funnier than the cryptic version you have here currently.

[part two] (blog will not take a big post in one section for some reason!)
After brunch it was kite flying, football and British bulldogs. Sand got everywhere and most of the beach ended up back in Rizwanas flat - just imaging my room at Woodhaven - and this was 4 times worse!!

The afternoon was spent relaxing with Cluedo and watching our Virginia holiday video - and then it was off down town for more amusements and Pizza. We walked back home by the beach in the dark where I told the boys the Jaws story replacing "Amity Island" with “Margate Beach"

A late night picnic was next on the agenda as it was off to the beach with the now suitably "concerned" boys for hot coffee and chocolate and to all huddle up in the dark - they did not like being so close to the sea as Joe was worried we could fall asleep and tide could come in and get us. It was a clear sky and we laid looking up at the
stars. with no one around whilst I told them ghost stories. These were met with a mixed response and a few "please please please take us home now"

Monday was swimming pool and then a castle in Deal just to find out all about it to get some revenge on Tom as they has been very wound up by his and Siobhans taunting comment's about the fun and food they were missing out on in the USA.

Back to Margate for a wind down video and and mass tidy up campaign on Rizwana’s room. We set off early evening after fond farewells to sea, sand and Rizwana. The lads managed to keep awake for a couple of hours singing along with Pink Floyd and listening to time travel war stories.

We had a great weekend and can not wait for them to come again before the planned closure of Dreamland this year.

Bloggers
[Part one]
Read this - then see the pictures link at end - and finally read it all again to make sense

I had a great weekend with the lads in Margate and will add pictures here when I get around to it. We went down on Friday and got back last night (Monday) at 2 am. Rizwana just would not let us all go!

Without a doubt, we had a fantastic time with minimum amount of hassle and arguing between the boys and me. They have now discovered Margate Dreamland park and all the amusements which to Conors great delight gave him more money back when he put his 2 pence in. The weather was warm and sunny enough to allow them to run into the sea - a stones throw from Rizwana’s place. There were rides, donuts and donkeys, all within reach and a must have for these deprived youngsters.

On Saturday morning we went straight to the beach for swimming and running around, and onto the Dreamland rides park and sea front amusements for the afternoon until all our money had gone and they were sick of the rides. The stomach churning rides were too much for me and Rizwana and the boys went on their own again
and again. The day ticket to the park and no queues meant they lads could walk up to any ride and get on - and stay on! - in the end after a particularly brutal
spinning ride which left you stuck to the sides by centrifugal force alone as the floor was lowered away, you get the picture - fast, furious and vomit inducing - only Conor seemed unaffected and wanted to go again!

After a few more hours relaxing on the2 penny shove or drop machines we went for a pizza and home for video and bed.

Sunday - was back to the beach to get an appetite for Breakfast on the beach at a sea front café. Luke had on his new roller blades which he rode on as a normal kid for a few hundred yards until he got fed up and then played "Jackass" which consisted of him crashing in to Joe and Conor and flying off the promenade at great speed to land on the sand. When he realised that this was not dangerous enough and had not damaged him self he added more twists, dives and height until I put a stop to it. He then sulked and skated off to try and rollerblade into the sea instead. Football on the beach brought out the usual competitiveness in Joe and Luke whist Conor played quietly in the bottom of a sandpit someone had dug out to the size of a large bath.
